Holecraft.io features an exciting block-eating adventure where players control a black hole that grows in strength as they move around the map. Players typically start by entering their characters base location on one side of the screen with basic abilities like moving forward or back. They then use various controls to manipulate blocks and objects, such as using arrows for movement across levels while pressing spacebar keys can add more power boosts that allow players a wider range in combat tactics depending upon how they choose.

As player grows larger by consuming smaller items (like food), the game offers new abilities like increasing block size or adding additional enemies. The goal is to consume all available blocks and structures, which are represented as "blocks" on screen with their respective sizes that grow bigger each time a character consumes them in order for it become more powerful.
